Very friendly staff, stayed a few times I have stayed here quit a few times and love it the owner is nice and will work with you if you have a unsure schedule, because I work road construction and don't always know if I will be working on Saturday or not. the breakfast is good. stay here when it was a super 8 it was it was nice then too. The beds are very nice. There are place to eat close and Hy Vee is next door so you can walk there if you want some groceries or eat in the deli there.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very affordable and most of all clean. The comp. breakfast was awesome, overall a very nice place. I enjoyed my stay and will be staying again when i can!!

It was a great visit to Cherokee, Iowa. We made the travel by motorcycle, and planned to stay at the Cherokee Inn. It was a very nice place to stay. It was very clean, with a friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay. The place was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Loved it.

I recently stayed at the Cherokee Inn for almost three months from. This hotel was very nice and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, with microwaves and refrigerators. If you are ever in the Cherokee area I would recommend staying at this hotel over any other. The staff is very welcoming and always willing to go above and beyond to help with anything. If I am ever in the area I will be staying there again.

we stay here every time we are down to go pheasant hunting. Staff is great the rooms are clean and the breakfast station is awesome! We love the place and the owner and this will always be our "home" in Cherokee.

We have been staying at this motel for many years and LOVE it! .From houssekeeping to management, no where will you find friendlier folks. The breakfast choices are great and the fact we can make everytrhing fresh is wonderful.. Beds are very comfortable. We would never choose anywhere else to stay and consider the Cherokee Inn our next best thing to home!

This breakfast is one of things I would call a night away from home just like home. Unbelievable that a hotel would offer a full breakfast,nice clean room and friendly staff.

Very good experience here saturday night. Good bed. Room was cooled down when we checked in. Good breakfast choices. And main thing is man working the desk was extra friendly!

Best motel in the area for sure. Going there tomorrow too. Honest folks and locally owned. Very clean rooms. Even has ESPN so I can watch my HAWKEYE game. Five stars in my book. A+++++

I recently spent 4 nights at the Cherokee Inn and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was quiet at night and in the early morning! No banging doors. The make-your-own breakfast was outstanding and just plain fun. Exemplary service!

We have been staying at Cherkee Inn now for a while on the weekends! The hotel is very clean. The owner is very nice and so helpful. The room have a BIG TV and the beds are the best we have every had in a hotel! The Price is very good!!! And we love the make your own breakfast bar.

WE STAYED OVER THE FOURTH OF JULY HOLIDAY WE FOUND OUR ROOMS SUPER CLEAN AND THE BREAKFAST WAS GREAT. THE STAFF MET ALL OYUR NEEDS AND MORE I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO BOOK AGAIN.

Stayed 10 nights at the Cherokee Inn - April 6 to 15. A great place to stay... owner/operators are efficient and provide great value. I know because I stayed at 5 other motels on this long roadtrip to IA. Also BY FAR the best breakfast available even compared to more exp places like Clarion Inn....highly recommend this place...

We stayed at the Cherokee Inn for 5 days and nights recently. It was a truly enjoyable stay. The accommodations are CLEAN and the owners are so pleasant and helpful and truly interested in serving their customers. Would definitely stay in this motel again. And the "price is right"!

This is an A-1 location, the owners are always accommodating, when I need a place to stay due to inclement weather, this is the first place I call. The service is excellent, the room and breakfast quality is unsurpassed. Great location and reasonable rates.

This is the only motel i stay at when in Cherokee area. Will recommend anyone the same, nice beds, breakfast, and clean rooms, big parking lot, what else can be said. All I have to do is say this is Russ and Sam or his wife Dhruti knows who I am and the room is reserved. Thank you see you next time.

I work for a food distributor out of Chicago ILL and I have the route of US HWY 20/59 into Worthington MN then south to HWY 71/3 to I-35/I-80 back to home. I ran into Sam’s motel over a year ago, (it is a loss for the Wyndham Hotel) and I used to stay in Fort Dodge/Strom Lake or in Worthington MN or Spencer, IA and I will never stay anywhere but at the Cherokee Inn. Why not a great owner who genuinely cares not just for a few customers but all, my company has a daily per-diem for motel of $100 and tax but I still choose to stay at the Cherokee Inn because when I get-up in the morning I DO NOT HAVE any back pain because of his best mattress in the world (and I have a memory foam at home which I paid over $2,500.). I love the breakfast because I know it is a good quality (I work in the food business) and I can make it when I am ready to eat, not made 3-4 hours ago by someone. Been staying at Super 8 Motel now The CHEROKEE INN for about 3 and half years now. I say it was the loss of the super8 people. Because Sam and Dhruti have kept this motel very good a lot better then so many other super8 I stayed at. I love their beds and am not a breakfast guy at all but he has very good coffee which I love. But anyone who needs a good night rest and a nice home style breakfast then this is the only place to stay I mean bacon, eggs, jimmy dean sausages, hash browns cereals oat meal…etc. can’t beat that. I have been staying at the (now) Cherokee Inn before Sam even bought the place about 6years ago and I know Sam and Dhruti have worked hard to improve the place every year after year. The best part I like are the clean rooms and the beds…the best. The new breakfast idea is also very good it takes me not even 5-6 min to make myself some Jimmy Dean and egg sandwich with cheese. I stayed at the Cherokee Inn during the week, for 2 and a half months. The staff was friendly. The room was always clean. The room was quiet. The price was competitive. Just a good place to stay.

My co-workers and I have stayed here for the last 3 years many times. The most comfortable beds you can find and I have slept on many different motel beds in the last 9 years and none compare and the boss man is a heck of a good guy great place.

Team Spongers travels from Florida to Iowa every summer for Ragbrai. We stayed here this past summer for the second time in the past 3 years and again had a most wonderful experience. The owner is pleasant and friendly. The rooms are spacious and super clean. The breakfast in the morning is great. Conveniently located next to a supermarket and restaurants. We have not found much better in Iowa. We will definitley stay here again next time we are in Iowa and the Ragbrai route is close by.

The Cherokee Inn, Cherokee, Iowa, (formerly Super 8) provided another wonderful and relaxing experience. Cherokee Inn has excellent rooms, very clean, and has reasonable rates, even though our company would pay for lodging $20.00 to $30.00 higher. There are no surprises when staying at this hotel. Plus, the owner visits with the guests over breakfast; this is a nice gesture. I will continue to stay there when working close to Cherokee, Iowa. Alan R. 

I am a "road warrior". I have traveled all over the country and internationally, I have stayed at 5-star hotels. The one thing that is so important is a clean room, friendly staff, comfortable bed, and great pillows!(I travel with mine!) I will absolutely stay here on future trips to this area! The people at the front desk were great, the bed was great, and the pillows were great! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! For anyone who travels alot you have no idea how excited I am to be able to stay in an economical and nice hotel!

I stayed at this motel for 2 weeks in june 2012 working in Cherokee.The motel was kept very clean,the price was right to fit my budget,food within walking distance,grocery next door,have a couple grills out back for the tenants use.It was a very good stay for my wife and myself.I stay in motels about 200 nights a year and I would recommend this one to anyone.The owner/manager and his wife were very nice people.

The fall of 2008, we had to be out of our home for 10 1/2 weeks while necessary repairs were made. We stayed at this hotel. The owners were wonderful and met our every need. They were very accomadating and we were so fortunate to make their hotel our second home. While there we saw the way that they served not only us, but all customers in a very professional and friendly manner. Although we have returned to our home, we often spend time in their hotel for weekend get aways and special occasions. Four years later, we still consider the owners to be our good friends. This hotel is a must stay for anyone needing lodging in the Cherokee area.

We stayed here at a very busy time.....every motel/hotel in the city was full. Even so the staff was exceptional....friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Price was right. We would gladly choose to stay here again. Dean and Mary Hodges
